CEO Operations - Senior team leader with newspaper editing and management background,
accounting and financial skills, multi-cultural experience, and knowledge of African descent people?s
environment and cultures
Director Marketing: Marketing savvy and sales oriented individual familiar with news products, and
with setting and implementing marketing plans and strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible
for all aspects of international, retail and classified business, with the important mission of increasing net
paid circulation, online subscription and readership, as well as achieving budgeted expense and revenue
goals.
- Must have extensive marketing experience; should be excellent in developing and implementing growth
strategy, customer service, budgeting, forecasting and collections.
- A big plus is a successful history of building revenue and launching new products, a proven track record
in growing home delivery sales and revenues, as well as implementing successful marketing strategies and
promotions.
- The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of ABC rules, including recent changes
regarding third party and "other paid" programs; experience with ABC audits, reporting, budgeting and
have a firm knowledge of Excel and Word.
- A minimum of 5 years circulation management experience as well as experience with direct mail and
database management is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are also essential.
- Should be a leader with the experience, energy, enthusiasm and excitement to create and guide a sales
team to success in a competitive marketplace. We put a premium on the ability to communicate clearly,
as well as introduce effective training. The successful candidate will be bold and creative with a proven
sales and supervisory record.
- The Director Marketing will report to the CEO Operations.
Director Purchasing: Newspaper editing skilled individual with multi-cultural environment familiarity and
editorial management experience.
- The successful candidate is a top-notch editor/leader to manage a news department for projected
80,000 Sunday circulation as well as online content.
- Must have vision, drive, and a keen sense of what the readers want to read.
- Must have strong management and news judgment skills.
- Will lead a headquarters? team of five plus and up to 16 international RPRs.
- Reports to the CEO Operations.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree and related experience in news journalism.
- Applicants should have demonstrated experience and success in newspaper startup, management
departments, including market sales development, circulation and news.

Skilled Copy Editors: We will seek energetic professionals with a passion for journalism and a
commitment to excellence to fill copy desk openings.
- Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years' experience on a daily/weekly copy or
assignment desk, an excellent command of the language, solid news judgment and a flair for headline
writing.
- Experience as a slot is a huge plus but is not required.
- We will experiment with new ideas on copy desk structure and assignments, and focus on career
development.
